Electronic Bus Planner

LTA had launch a new Electronic Bus Planner on certain bus stops around Singapore. It was requested from the public which LTA asked in the forum. Below is what Ms Tan had quoted, found on page 17.

Very glad to hear of the new real time interactive bus system where LED displays will be installed at the 30 popular bus stops in Singapore. This greatly improves the public bus service quality and entice more commuters to make use of public buses.Would like to find out more about the technology being used in the system as $5 million for 30 bus stops seems an astronomical amount, since there is an existing GPS tracking system in place among buses. Wouldn’t much more be spent if this system is to be installed in other major bus stops in residential estates and city area in the future?Do we have assurance that bus fares not be hiked due to this implementation?

This is what Electronic Bus Planner is talking about.
