What is CC and BCC?

Thursday, 27 March 2008 | Written by Sentosa Girl | Tagged under Internet, Music, Work. | Permalink | Message?

What is the purpose of “To”, “CC”, “BCC”? “To” is to the person you are addressing email to. “CC” is to inform the others to take note of this email.. and “BCC” is to let the person you “BCC” to in private. That means they (Those I “CC” to) need to know about this email and what I’m talking about in the email. How come they kept using the “Reply” instead of “Reply to All” when replying back emails? When you reply to all, those in the “BCC” will not receive the email. I don’t use “BCC” in my emails.

Example of a proper email:
I want to email to Mr Jose (person-in-charge). People involved in the project is Mr Tan, Ms Tay, Mr Ng. I want to send this email privately to Mr Han. Below is how the email look like.

To: Mr Jose
CC: Mr Tan, Ms Tay, Mr Ng
BCC: Mr Han

If I’m Mr Jose, I should click the “Reply to All” button instead of “Reply” button. Cos the email was “CC” to others, too.

For you, what is your opinion(s)?

寻友启示

Jason: Suddenly in a ordinary night
I remembered the girl that we both chased when young
How she is now
Whether her tears are still so clear

Ming Dao: Suddenly I thought of the cut near your mouth
Does it still stir up your look of hatred
Or has it now become
The only thing that can give you the courage and energy to think of me again

Ming Dao: Who knew that a road in the same town can be so long
As time passed, so many walls were built accidentally
I really hope to turn back time
Together with you we roam the streets and not go home

Jason: I know that now and the past, many things are different
I still want to find those strands of memory both of us left behind

Ming Dao and Jason: Quietly accompany you
Even if it’s just looking at the sun and keeping silent

Ming Dao: Suddenly in this ordinary night
Dad and Mom mentioned us, the bunch of troublemakers
Cutely and determinedly
Advised me to look at how we are now

Ming Dao: Suddenly I remembered the field where we graduated
If anyone still go there occasionally to loiter
We have all grown up
But lost the courage to support things together

Ming Dao: Anyone knows how my friends are now
If they have anything that they need my help

Jason: Tell them that I’m waiting
Meet at the heaven that we once went to

Jason: I know that many of my friends now are different
But they gave me the wings to fly happily

Ming Dao: Even if it was a lonely street
No matter if its just staring at the lamp-posts and not thinking of anything

Ming Dao: Anyone knows how my friends are now
If they have anything that they need my help

Jason: Tell them that I’m waiting
Meet at the heaven that we once went to

Jason: I know that many of my friends now are different
But they gave me the wings to fly happily

Ming Dao: Even if it was a lonely street
No matter if its just staring at the lamp-posts and not thinking of anything

Jason: They are in my heart

Ming Dao: They are all wandering by themselves now

Jason: They are beside me

Ming Dao and Jason: I am in their heart
