Do you know what is intercepting calls? You know your neighbour is not at his or her desk, and you know the phone is ringing, pick up that call! Lazy to walk over to his or her desk to answer the call, intercept it! How am I or the receptionist to know every detail that each of the staffs are not at their desk? We are not robots or CCTV, okay. We don’t have a technology that says who is at their desk or not. Even CCTV is slow reaction to movement. Had repeatedly talking about intercepting calls.
Steps to intercepting calls.
Step 1: Pick up the phone.
Step 2: Press “Intercom”
Step 3: Press “4”, “1” follow by the extension number. No pausing to look at the extension.
Step 4: You will hear a little beep and there, you answered the call.
I will continue to transfer the call to you till someone answers. I hack care if the person is in or not. I will tell them you are not in when it is before 9am in the morning. Cos we haven’t start work officially. Other timings? I keep on transferring to you. Don’t like to hear your neighbour’s phone ringing? Pick it up and answer it.
